Water Testing

The Twin Hills Water District adheres to all local, state, and federal guidelines for water quality testing.

Our water is tested monthly by our licensed well operator for standard potability and safety requirements. It is also tested at other regular intervals for expanded parameters. We follow a strict compliance schedule set by the CT Department of Public Health.

If you require water test results for a real estate transaction or other concern, please contact our well operator: LaFramboise Water Service at (800) 624-2327. Any additional, non-standard testing, that you request will be at your own expense.

Water Quality

In addition, we file an annual Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The latest report is available below:

We are partnering with the DPH to adhere to the EPA's Lead and Copper Rule. In summary, our system was installed fairly recently and does not contain lead or galvanized supply pipes or fittings. The DPH is lowering the allowable limit of lead in water, and our water testing shows that we are 1/10th of that new limit. However, the personally-owned pipes and fittings in individual homes may vary. If you are concerned with the pipes in your home, we suggest contacting a licensed plumber for evaluation. If you are considering establishing a licensed school or child day care facility within the district, note that you will be subject to additional water testing at your own expense. See the Regulations page.
